Have you ever done something or been a part of something much bigger than yourself? Something that you alone could not will to happen. That's exactly where I found myself yesterday as I awaited an 8 year old boy who's life changing experience I would document and witness.
"How could someone do this?" "How could this happen?" I've even witnessed some asking, "How could God, being all loving, allow this to happen?" As I too have asked this question several times in my life, I've come to this very simple, yet profound conclusion: There has been, there is, and there always will be calamity in the world as long as there is broken people.
Anyone that knows me knows that I'm a reflector. I love to sit with things, process them, dissect them, and question the life out of them, all in hopes to gain understanding. As I walk into the journey of a new year, I find myself looking back at 2015 and mulling over the many things that I've learned throughout it's occupancy. Some through pain, some through joy, but I believe one of the greatest gifts we have as humanity is the ability to share stories and experiences. So here is my gift to you, some lessons that I've learned through walking through. May they inspire you, motivate you, or at very least, spark a thought.
